Scott Bollard
Head Instructor Scott Bollard has been training in Grandmaster Jim Fung's Wing Chun Kung Fu™ since September 1993. His experience in other martial arts includes Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, boxing, kickboxing and Arnis.
After watching 'Dragon - The Bruce Lee Story', 17 year old Instructor Scott was inspired to join the Academy's Miranda Branch by Chief Instructor Tony Stewart, the NSW State Manager at the time.
In 1997, Instructor Scott attained his Level 1 Instructor ranking and became the Miranda Branch Manager in January 2000. That year, the Branch received the 'Most Improved Branch' award from the Academy.
At the Academy's 30th Anniversary in 2003, Instructor Scott attained his Level 2 ranking and was awarded a 'Dedication and Achievement' badge by Grandmaster Jim Fung.
By Mid 2005, Instructor Scott was promoted to the role of Administration Manager at the Academy's Sydney HQ and attained his Level 3 ranking in 2006.
From February 2008, Instructor Scott has fulfilled the role of the Academy's NSW State Manager and has successfully run large-scale workshops and demonstrations around Sydney, some being featured on national television.
Says Instructor Scott, 'Wing Chun is easy to learn, with no complicated movements and is excellent for practical street defence.'
'The system also has a number of health benefits, including relaxation, poise, posture, fitness and muscle tone, plus it's great for making new friends!'
Instructor Scott is a fully qualified Wing Chun instructor, holding a Certificate IV in Wing Chun Instructor, Certificates II, III and IV in Sport (Coaching), Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Level 2 First Aid qualification.

I started because I wanted to experience Wing Chun and also experience a different kind of martial arts. I have been doing Wing Chun for about 1 year now and I am enjoying Wing Chun very much. I enjoy it because it is a relaxing form of martial arts and it is not too serious either. I think I will enjoy becoming an instructor at SBWCKF and enjoy teaching others.
