New Women's Classes Begin!

04/04/2017

After two hugely successful women's self defence workshops for International Women's Day in March 2017, we're pleased to announce the launch of our all-new Women's Self Defence Classes at Sydney HQ!

Taught by Sijie Catherine and Sijie Grace, these new classes are focused on the specific types of danger that women may face in their everyday lives. They not only teach the application of Wing Chun's practical self defence skills, but also cover deterrence and de-escalation strategies.

Self Defence Classes For Women, Taught By Women

Sijie Grace believes that there's a unique advantage to attending classes taught by women: 'Women need to see how effective Wing Chun can be in the hands of a woman,' says Grace. 'Women better understand the emotions that women experience in threatening situations [whereas] men have a much different mindset when it comes to self defence.'

According to Sijie Catherine, confidence plays an enormous role in self-defence. 'Confident women look forward, stand tall and aren’t afraid to look you in the eye,' says Catherine. 'They’re less likely to be picked on. Wing Chun gives you that confidence, particularly when it’s taught by a woman.'

Our Women's Self Defence Classes run from 5:15pm to 6:15pm on Mondays at Sydney HQ. More times will be announced shortly.
