Free Self Defence Workshop for Women

Join our Free Women's Self Defence Workshop at Sydney HQ!

According to the United Nations, 1 in 3 women around the world will experience violence in their lifetime. In 2016, the number of domestic violence related deaths in NSW rose by 40%.

Join us for a FREE 1 hour self defence workshop as we celebrate International Women's Day and combat violence against women.

Our team of female trainers will teach you effective deterrence strategies and practical self defence skills that you can use to defend yourself in a dangerous situation.

Our workshop will be based on the world renowned system of Grandmaster Jim Fung's Wing Chun Kung Fu®, a martial art originally invented by a woman.

We will be running 2 workshops with identical content (21/3 and 28/3). Please only register for one!

Our 2016 workshops reached capacity very early in the night and we unfortunately had to turn away many people at the door. To avoid any disappointment this year, we have implemented a registration system to ensure that workshops are not attended beyond capacity.

Please click the button at the bottom of the page to register to attend. Registration is compulsory.

What to Bring?

  • Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing (e.g. gym wear).
  • A towel.
  • A padlock to use our free locker facilities.

Women's shower and change room facilities are available.

What to do on the Night?

Arrive at 8:00pm and check in with our team at the Front Desk. We'll check to see if you're on our list of attendees and provide you with a sticker to identify yourself.

Format

Our trainers will take you through a 10 minute cardio warm-up, followed by a 50 minute hands-on workshop. You'll get a chance to partner up with other attendees to safely practise the skills being taught. Protective equipment will be provided where necessary.
