On March 18, 2007, Grandmaster Fung passes away after a three-year battle with cancer. In April, with the support of Sigung Chu, the Fung Family appoints the Academy's round table of Chief Instructors to ensure the authenticity of Grandmaster Fung’s unique training programme is preserved.The Academy continues to run its usual classes. The Fung family establishes the Sifu Jim Fung Memorial Fund for Cancer Research.
