Student Uniform
The International Wing Chun Academy offers a variety of Wing Chun training uniforms in modern designs and cuts.
The Academy's full uniform consists of the following items of clothing:
- Academy T-Shirt
- Black Pants
- Kung Fu Slippers
- Grading Badge*
- Coloured Sash^
Academy T-Shirt
The Academy's standard white t-shirt featuring the emblem of Grandmaster Jim Fung's Wing Chun Kung Fu® is available in both unisex and women's cuts.
Students may alternatively wear the Academy's black or white embroidered training polos.
Students must clearly display their names on their t-shirts or polos.
Black Pants
All students must wear long, plain black pants with no visible design or labels.
Academy-brand black training pants have been designed with a gusset to allow for comfortable kicking.
Kung Fu Slippers
All students must wear cotton-soled kung fu slippers (sold at the Academy), socks or approved martial arts shoes.
For safety reasons, students must not wear bare feet or shoes with hard or high-traction soles.
*Grading Badge
Embroidered Grading Badges are awarded to students upon successful completion of a Grading.
All Grade 2 students and above must sew or iron (if your Grading Badge has an adhesive backing) their Grading Badges onto the left sleeves of their t-shirts or polos.
Additional Grading Badges are available for purchase from the Academy Headquarters.
^Coloured Sash
All teaching personnel of the Academy wear a coloured sash. A guide to these colours is shown below.
Instructor Uniform
The International Wing Chun Academy uses different coloured uniforms and sashes to represent the seniority of its teaching personnel.

Seniority within each 'Instructor Ranking' is further indicated by the Grade or Level of the teacher.
